After spending some time in Colorado in the Spring of 2016, Kenin and I almost immediately started the plans of a return trip for the following year. Then our friends threw out the idea of taking a trip to Colorado with us, so it seems that Colorado may become an annual meeting spot for us and some of our closest friends. There’s just something about the breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains that seem to keep drawing us back to Colorado. With that in mind, we decided to use it as a meet up location for several of our friends from across the world. In doing some research we decided that renting out a villa with Colorado Vacation Rentals seems to be an excellent choice for group get-togethers. We would all be able to chill out under one roof and spend quality time playing in the mountains and taking in some of the best that Colorado has to offer.
Now that I have my friends on board with this idea and have a ton of lovely choices for an amazing vacation rental we can start plotting all of the wonderful things we’d like to see and do when in Colorado. Between breweries, hiking, biking, and eating there’s almost too much to do!
Luckily, Colorado has some of the best scenery for all of these things so it makes choosing pretty easy. One of my favorite hikes was in Garden of the Gods, in Colorado Springs. Located about an hour’s drive south of Denver, it’s an easy trip that is super fun filled. The rocks were so much fun to climb over and the views were outstanding.
Pikes Peak, (aka America’s Mountain) is definitely another “must-do” attraction while visiting Colorado. The drive up to the top can take a little while, especially during the busy summer months, but the views from the top are well worth it! Also if you’re a car lover like me, it feels truly magical to be able to put the pedal to the metal and drive the same roads as some of the world’s most legendary race car drivers. Pikes Peak is home to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and the road features 156 turns and reaches elevation of 14110 feet!
With all of the adventures you can have in Colorado, it’s nice to know that you also have some wonderful choices for relaxation. It’s no secret that Kenin and I love craft beer, and lucky for us Colorado is home to some of the countries best craft breweries. On our last visit to Colorado we had the chance to visit Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont and try their world famous “Ten-Fidy” Stout and their exceptional “Death by Coconut” Porter. Conveniently, one of our other favorite breweries, Left Hand Brewing Company, is located right around the corner from Oskar Blues, so you can hop on over there and give them a try too!
With so much fun to do in Colorado, it definitely makes sense to use it as a vacation destination. So why not find a luxury vacation villa where you and your friends and family can stay together while you play together?
