Capilano Suspension Bridge

Capilano Suspension Bridge and Park will transport you back in time. Located in North Vancouver, this simple bridge has been around since 1889. It will allow you to travel high above the waters of Capilano Canyon and stare down at the majestic sight of the flowing river. Visit during the wintertime to enjoy the canyon lights, which run from late November through late January. For a little extra adventure, visit their Cliffwalk that will take you off the typically-traveled path and onto glass catwalks that make you feel like you’re suspended in thin air above the canyon.

Hatley Castle

Finished in 1908, this historic castle is located in Victoria and is part of the Hatley Park National Historic Site. The castle itself was used for the Royal Roads Military College, a naval training facility, since the 1940s. It is now known as the public Royal Roads University, which still operates here today. Stop by to visit this historic mansion on your next trip through B.C., especially if you’re a big movie and TV buff. Many famous films and movies have used Hatley Castle as a filing location as well, including many of the X-Men movies as well as the TV shows Arrow and Smallville.

Whistler

If you are a fan of skiing, a trip to Whistler is a must for your next trip to British Columbia. If you aren’t a huge winter sports fan, you may still recognize it as the location of the downhill ski events of the 2010 Winter Olympics. While it is often known as the ultimate Canadian winter destination, it also boasts fun summer attractions such as biking. Butchart Gardens

Butchart Gardens boasts that it has been “in bloom for over 100 years,” and we can see why people continue to frequent this gorgeous garden whenever they’re in British Columbia. Open every day of the year, this is the perfect tourist spot to take a romantic stroll or take the kids for an easy-to-navigate nature walk.
