We had some fun gambling our way through Nevada and seeing the beautiful sights in Arizona and New Mexico, but it was time for that bitter sweet moment on every road trip, heading home! Of course home for us was still another 2163 miles away :-) We took a rambling route across New Mexico, through Roswell, then to San Antonio to see family for the Turkey Consumption Fest we Americans call Thanksgiving. Once that was over with, and we could once again fasten our pants, we cut through New Orleans to drink off the Family Induced Stress Syndrome and then finally made it to our home in the Miami area.

Road Trip Route 66 | The Grand Canyon | Vegas to Flagstaff to Albuquerque
We spent the last couple of weeks on our road trip in quite a few large cities so we decided it was time for the pendulum to swing back in the other direction and get back in touch with mother nature. What better way to do that than to visit one of her grandest creations? Over the course of 4 days we were able to visit the Grand Canyon plus two other national parks, get our “kicks” on Route 66, spend some time in one of the Midwest’s oldest cities, and visit more local breweries! How you ask? By taking a road trip routed through Las Vegas, NV to Flagstaff, AZ to Albuquerque, NM of course!

After having a great time in the Pacific Northwest we decided to take our trip to a much warmer climate. On our last trip in the area we took Highway 101 South along the Pacific Coast to Northern California. Visiting the Pacific Northwest | Vancouver, BC | Portland, OR | Road Trip Update
After spending weeks in the remote portions of Canada and Alaska we both welcomed a few days of city life. We spent a few days in Vancouver, BC before we left Canada and made our way to Portland, OR. We spent a total of 4-nights in the area and had a wonderful time exploring two new cities and experiencing the city life.
Road Trip Route Tok, AK to Vancouver, BC along the Cassiar & Trans-Canada Highway
After touring the majority of Alaska, it was time for us to take our road trip South and back to the lower 48 states. We didn’t want to take the Alaskan Highway all the way back trough the Eastern Side of the Rockies and repeat our trip North so we decided to take the Cassiar Highway along the western Rockies and through BC instead. It was an amazing 1863 mile trip over a period 5 days that took us from Tok, Alaksa through the entirety of British Columbia and ending in beautiful Vancouver BC.
