Wine at noon!?! Yes, please! :) Kenin and I spent a morning walking around downtown Albuquerque, NM enjoying the sights and doing a little shopping. We then went looking for a brewery to visit when we came across a flyer for the St. Clair Winery and Bistro. It was surprising to find a winery in New Mexico, but we were intrigued. We decided to make a quick change of plans and visit the winery before hitting the Marble Brewery and we were glad we did. Here’s our review of the St. Clair Winery and Bistro.

Elk River Falls – Dog Friendly fun in North Carolina | A Photo Essay
Elk River Falls is located on the North Carolina/Tennessee border. On our visit to the Banner Elk Winery and Villa, we were searching for something dog friendly to do with Zoe and Punkin. Elk River Falls turned out to be the perfect adventure for the four of us. We wanted to get out and play in the amazing weather and see a bit of nature. The Falls is a must-see if you are in the area.
Volkswagen Punch Buggy Game – Rambler Style!
When you road trip as often as we do this means that most of your life is spent in the car. Sometimes, that means up to 13 hours a day for us. What do we do with all that time? Just sitting in the car, staring out the window for hours on end can be enough to drive a person mad (not that some of us were all that sane to begin with :) ). You come up with creative road trip games to pass the minutes. The VW Punch Buggy Game is one of our favorites! Being huge Volkswagen fans, it is only natural that we would want to participate in this fun but sometimes brutal game. This is the “Constant Rambler” version of the popular road trip game.
#FriFotos – Homes | Home is where the <3 is!
This week’s FriFotos really hit home for me, literally! This weeks theme is HOMES. Everyone that knows us, knows that Kenin and I are nomadic souls. We’ve owned many nice homes in our 10 years together. It makes me a little sad to think of all the nice houses we built from the very first laid brick and then abandoned just a few years later as we moved from city to city. We just couldn’t stay in one building, one place, for a long period of time.
Visiting The Flintstones Bedrock City AZ, A Road Trip Back in Time!
While on our way to the Grand Canyon, we made a planned stop in the small junction town of Williams, Arizona where State Rt 64 & Hwy 180 intersect. Flintstones Bedrock City was mentioned to us by a very good friend and we valued his recommendation (and I really loved the cartoon growing up). Kenin and I set off very early in the morning to get there and check out the “Bedrock City”. We were not disappointed and just had to share it with the world!
