Traveling with our dog Zoe is one of the best things about slow travel. She goes everywhere with us and loves visiting new places and people just as much as we do. Unfortunately, Zoe is now over 13 years old and traveling for her is not as easy as it used to be. This however, does not mean that she can’t travel with us. There are some simple steps to take to make sure that she is still happy and comfortable and enjoying her time exploring the world with us.

The Unintentional Side Effects of Slow Travel & Housesitting
Over the course of the past 3-years we Ramblers have discovered that slow travel has become our preferred method of travel. When you mix slow travel with housesitting you get an almost unbeatable combination. The blend of nearly free accommodations and having plenty of time to really take in a destination are both really great benefits. However, we’ve recently discovered another reason that’s even better. Over the last couple of years, we’ve had the ability to live the lives of completely different people while staying in these individual homes. The funny thing is, it took an old friend of ours coming over for a visit to point this out to us. We never really realized how much each house sit has impacted and changed our perspectives on life and the way it is lived by each individual person. We became very introspective on how geography, culture, and even gender can influence a person’s home and ultimately a person’s life.
5 of My Favorite Places to View Wildlife in the USA
Since starting this nomadic journey almost 3 years ago I have graduated from professional animal stalker to amateur animal photographer. My goal is to one day become a professional animal photographer but that means years of classes and sifting through thousands of my blurry photographs and allowing my husband to analyze them without me getting angry. I’ll get there though. I have the passion and the drive and I love animals… from a distance. Up close I get scared and edgy. This is why I love taking pictures of animals and wildlife. Over the next few years I will invest in better equipment and proper training to take amazing pictures. Here are a few of my favorite places in the USA to view fantastic wildlife.
