New Orleans is one of those cities that sticks to my ribs like a good gumbo. We ramble through this city a few times a year and it never disappoints. On our last visit we stayed at the Loews Hotel in downtown NOLA. Why? Because Loews Loves Pets and everyone knows that we do too!

The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum – A Tribute to an American Pioneer
While the Wright Brothers clearly own the title for successfully completing the first controlled flight, there are quite a few other pioneers in the aviation space that arguably deserve as much, if not more recognition, for their efforts in making flight a human possibility. Glenn H. Curtiss is one of those men, and a trip to the Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY is all it takes to see why he was one of the most influential men in aviation.
Inspire Moore Winery and Vineyard in Naples, NY
Everyone knows that I’ve recently come to terms with my inner hippie. I’m all “Peace, Love, and Flowers” now. On our recent trip to the Finger Lakes we had the chance to visit a unique winery that embodies all that is “Peace, Love, and Happiness”. Inspire Moore winery in Naples, NY made us feel right at home. We even let Zoe come along for the ride.
Kayaking the Chemung River in the Finger Lakes, NY
The Finger Lakes region of Upstate, NY is most famous for its wineries that produce a wide variety of mostly sweet white wines. A visit to the area is typically associated with weekends spent indulging in too much of the sweet stuff while trying to visit as many of the wineries as possible. Much to our surprise, it turns out that the area has a lot more to offer, especially if you love the outdoors. So when we were fortunate enough to be invited to take a trip kayaking the Chemung River in Elmira, NY with Southern Tier Kayaking Tours, you can bet we jumped at the chance to take in some beautiful scenery and clean fresh air.
Bring Your Best Buddy To Bethany Beach at Meris Gardens
Nothing says summer like a trip to the beach – am I right? And Bethany Beach is one of the best resort towns on the Eastern Shore for families to travel to for some relaxation. But who wants to pop out of town without the family pup?
It can be a struggle for us travelers who are also pet lovers plagued by a lack of quality places that allow Fido (or Barkdale… or Chew Barca… or Miss Sugarpants… we’re not judging names here!) to join in the fun. However, the newly remodeled Meris Gardens in Bethany Beach solves the problem altogether, with top notch digs that are dog friendly.
