Road Trip Albuquerque | San Antonio | New Orleans | Miami – Update

We had some fun gambling our way through Nevada and seeing the beautiful sights in Arizona and New Mexico, but it was time for that bitter sweet moment on every road trip, heading home! Of course home for us was still another 2163 miles away :-) We took a rambling route across New Mexico, through Roswell, then to San Antonio to see family for the Turkey Consumption Fest we Americans call Thanksgiving. Once that was over with, and we could once again fasten our pants, we cut through New Orleans to drink off the Family Induced Stress Syndrome and then finally made it to our home in the Miami area.

When you think of Florida beaches, you think of soft sand and striped cabanas. We were looking for a less populated, natural Florida beach where sand is not dredged and trucked in. Blowing Rocks Preserve turned out to be exactly what we were in search of. Check out these amazing photos!

Food Truck Monday – Hollywood Arts Park at Young Circle, FL

Food Truck MondayIf you’re looking for a fun way to feed the whole family, and bring along your pets, look no further than Food Truck Monday at Hollywood’s Arts Park at Young Circle. The Miami Food Truck schedule brings them every Monday night from 5:30 – 9:30 PM. An army of Miami’s famous food trucks descend on Hollywood to satisfy even the most discerning foodies’ cravings. There are usually 20-30 trucks in one location that offer everything from Italian staples to exotic Korean fusion delights. After visiting several times over the past few months we decided to share this great event and tell you about some of our favorite trucks!

Road Trip to NavarreI woke up the morning we had to leave New Orleans with a sense of impending doom. We were leaving the seediness and debauchery that we enjoyed so much in NOLA, and heading towards the wholesome goodness that is visiting my father. I had a heavy heart that morning, because I hadn’t spoken to him once since I had quit my job and started aimlessly driving around the country. I knew that my visit to the gulf coast and Pensacola wouldn’t be filled with the partying and drinking or solitude of nature I preferred on vacation, but rather serious talks and reflection.

Review The Knife Restaurant Miami

Are you always looking for new restaurants in Miami? We recently chose to review The Knife restaurant and had ourselves a wonderful, casual,  yet romantic meal. The Knife is an Argentine “parilla” style steakhouse with several locations in South Florida. We chose to visit the Hallandale location. The visit was so pleasant for us, it’s earned a spot on our “Where to eat in Miami” list.
