The city has gone from hosting the towns first road race back in 1948 to hosting global events at the Watkins Glen International Speedway. It’s only natural then that Watkins Glen would be home to the International Motor Racing Research Center.

Carnivorous Bikers and Bountiful Beer at Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse, NY
Dinosaur BBQ restaurant in Syracuse is a well-known biker bar that serves great grub and the beer flows freely. My kind of place. We didn’t ride over here (we took the much more boring form of transportation also known as walking), but we did come across too many motorcycles to count parked all around the place. Upon first inspection, this quirky restaurant seemed very out of place for Syracuse, but after crossing the front lines and walking in the door, I could see why people, locals and visitors alike, flock here for a fun time and great barbecue.
Funk N Waffles – Best Breakfast in Syracuse, NY
Waking up in Syracuse, NY I had one thing and one thing only on my mind…breakfast! After a night of beer tasting and exploring the city I woke up famished. Every person in Syracuse seemed to have the same recommendation for a good hearty hangover cure, and that was Funk N Waffles. I was a bit skeptical about this, waffles are not exactly my favorite food, but I am a stickler for following my own advice. Locals know best. With my stomach on empty I headed out to see what all the fuss was about.
The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum – A Tribute to an American Pioneer
While the Wright Brothers clearly own the title for successfully completing the first controlled flight, there are quite a few other pioneers in the aviation space that arguably deserve as much, if not more recognition, for their efforts in making flight a human possibility. Glenn H. Curtiss is one of those men, and a trip to the Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY is all it takes to see why he was one of the most influential men in aviation.
Inspire Moore Winery and Vineyard in Naples, NY

On our recent trip to the Finger Lakes we had the chance to visit a unique winery that embodies all that is “Peace, Love, and Happiness”. Inspire Moore winery in Naples, NY made us feel right at home. We even let Zoe come along for the ride.
