Holiday Inn Express – A Pet Friendly Option in Harrisburg PA
As full-time travelers we normally strive to stay in unique or specialty style hotels. Let’s face it though, more often than not we usually end up staying in a chain hotel. When this happens, it’s usually a pretty generic experience that’s more “meh” than “yay!” Recently however, we had the opportunity to stay in the Pet Friendly Harrisburg Holiday Inn Express while visiting, PA. I’m happy to report that we had a warm, friendly, and positive experience that exceeded our expectations and Zoe’s as well.

Indian Echo Caverns Harrisburg – Journey to Another Universe
As I looked at my surroundings there was only one thought that kept coursing thorough my mind. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I had somehow fallen asleep and my dreams had transported me to some alternate universe where every 70’s sci-fi movie ever made had been filmed. I was surrounded by these strange shapes and colors everywhere I turned. It was surreal to think that I could feel this way simply by walking down a few steps and heading into the Indian Echo Caverns just outside of Harrisburg, PA.
Stepping into the Mark Twain Study in Elmira, NY
When I first heard that I was going to have the opportunity to visit the Mark Twain study I was less than enthused. You see, I’ve never been an avid reader of Classic American Literature. As a matter of fact, the only time I’ve ever read any of Twain’s books was when it was on assignment from school. Then I was reading it for later study and dissection rather than for enjoyment. Yet somehow, when I stepped into the tiny 8-sided room, I understood that there was something here for me. There was a lesson here for all of us who write and seek to inspire with our words. I understood why this room, now located on the campus of Elmira College, was such a powerful place. It’s a fine start to anyone’s journey through Mark Twain Country in Elmira, NY.
