Long before craft brewing was a national trend, the folks behind the Church Brew Works in Pittsburgh, PA had a fantastic vision. They built a craft brewery inside a fully restored Roman Catholic Church. The Church Brew Works isn’t some gimmick though, over the years they’ve become a Pittsburgh staple while achieving the holy trinity of restaurants: Fantastic food, great drinks in a unique and beautiful location. Plus, they brew beer on an altar!

Established in 1852, the Hotel Fauchere was recognized as a historic landmark in Milford, Pennsylvania in 1980. Delighted to stay in the romantic Poconos, the Hotel Fauchere was an excellent choice for a fun little getaway.
Canoeing Down The Delaware – The Dog Days are Just Beginning
The Poconos Mountains are a fabulous place to go for a romantic weekend. Do you know what also makes for a great romantic weekend? Weimaraners! Okay so maybe not, but Zoe insisted on joining us for our weekend getaway to the Poconos and as always she also insisted that she firmly plant her fuzzy butt right in the middle of everything. While on our fabulous romantic getaway to the Poconos, Kenin and I decided to take an intimate canoe trip down the gorgeous Delaware River. Luckily for Zoe, the folks at Kittatinny Canoes love dogs just as much as we do so they didn’t mind her tagging along on our romantic river ride.

Ambrosia thy name is coffee! Coffee is necessary for ramblin’ and we take our coffee very, very seriously. We even travel with many devices to brew our own and we always have a bag of beans in the car. That being said, we love nothing more than finding a great local coffee shop to savor the flavors of a perfect morning brew without us having to do the work. Little Amps in Harrisburg, PA saved us from having to brew our own and put the pep in our step with their caffeinated concoctions.
