As full-time travelers we normally strive to stay in unique or specialty style hotels. Let’s face it though, more often than not we usually end up staying in a chain hotel. When this happens, it’s usually a pretty generic experience that’s more “meh” than “yay!” Recently however, we had the opportunity to stay in the Pet Friendly Harrisburg Holiday Inn Express while visiting, PA. I’m happy to report that we had a warm, friendly, and positive experience that exceeded our expectations and Zoe’s as well.

Hotel Red – A Pet Friendly Home in Madison Wisconsin
There aren’t many places that can manage to pull off just the right combination of minimalistic style and warmth. By its very nature, minimalism is typically cold and aloof, but somehow Hotel Red in Madison Wisconsin, has managed to do just that. When we stepped foot into our room, Lauren and I both felt like we were stepping right into the comfort our own home.

Sedona is the perfect destination for a quick weekend or a nice long romantic getaway. The small Arizona town is surrounded by the beautiful Red Rocks and is filled with quaint shops, great restaurants, and lots of activities. Tucked away in the center of the town is a fantastic, small, pet-friendly luxury hotel that is the perfect complement to the surrounding area. We recently had the pleasure of spending some time in the beautiful little city of Sedona Arizona. While there we found a wonderful community filled with warm hearted and friendly locals that lived up to the great reputation that Sedona has. What was surprising to us though was how pet friendly Sedona ended up being. Normally towns that are focused on tourism don’t have lots of pet friendly options, but Sedona was quite the opposite. With that in mind we’ve put together a short guide of some great pet friendly activities and accommodations while visiting Sedona,Arizona.
Aloft Hotels: Hip, Cool, and Dog Friendly!
With so many hotel chains all over the US, it’s rare that you’ll ever hear me say that there’s room for another company to build and launch a whole new brand. Shockingly though, Starwood Hotels did just that with their newest brand, aloft hotels. What’s even more surprising is that they actually succeeded to build a chain of hotels that gives you something more than just a place to stay, but a sense of place. Combine that with the fact that the whole chain is dog friendly with no crazy pet fees or deposits, and it’s no wonder we felt like we just had to visit and review an aloft hotel and share it with the world.
