We love beer! We will never pass up the opportunity to try a new craft beer. During our Calgary visit we were pleasantly surprised at the craft beer movement in this fabulous town. Tucked away in the industrial neighborhood of Calgary is the Village Brewery. You know us, we had to take a tour and a taste (well, a few tastes :) ). In addition to a Brewery tour, we were invited to the Village Brewery Hump Day Social. The event changed not just my perception of craft beer, but of business in general! This one day solidified my love for the city of Calgary and the people who live here.

Searching for a fun time in Calgary, want to take in a Flames game, or maybe just glut yourself into a food coma? Well, do I have the place for you! While spending a few months in Calgary, Kenin and I made a visit (well, a few visits) to The Canadian Brewhouse. Warning: Food Porn ahead!
Cigar City Brewing – A Tour of a Legend in the Making
When Cigar City Brewing was founded they began with two simple goals in mind. The first goal is obvious, set out to make the world’s best beer, but the second is what sets them apart from the rest of the craft brew pack. The owner and brewers set out to infuse their beer with the flavors and heritage that represented their home town, Cigar City a.k.a. Tampa Bay. In doing so they somehow managed to infuse Tampa’s cultural melting-pot into an incredibly tasty and award-winning line of beers. While Cigar City Brewing is only four years old, they are rapidly becoming a legend in the craft beer world. We took a Cigar City Brewery tour to find out what makes them so hot and to sample a few (ok maybe a more than a few) of the beers that make them so famous.
Touring Toronto’s Steam Whistle Brewery
When visiting the city of Toronto there is one attraction that no beer lover should miss, the Steam Whistle Brewery. It’s unexpectedly located right in the center of downtown Toronto, in a squat unassuming historical brick building called The Roundhouse. Steam Whistle is a little brewery with a lofty goal; becoming the best (and number one) pilsner in Canada. We had the opportunity to take a tour of the Steam Whistle Brewery and we enjoyed it so much we decided to share it with the world.
