Photo Essay: Bushkill Falls – The Niagara of Pennsylvania in the Poconos
Bushkill Falls, also known as the “Niagara of Pennsylvania” is a hidden gem nestled in the Poconos Mountians near the Delaware Water gap. It features several waterfalls along a series of hiking trails and a nature center. The drive to Bushkill takes you through varied scenery and quite a few winding roads, which is an added bonus for the driving enthusiast. One of our favorite parts though is the fact that the park is pet-friendly so you can bring your dog with you while you visit! It makes an excellent day trip for anyone visiting Pennsylvania or Eastern New Jersey and has something to offer every age group.
Photo Essay: Craters of the Moon National Park in Idaho
While driving through rural Idaho on our 35-Day trip we stumbled onto what turned out to be one of my favorite National Parks. The terrain is so different than what we are used to in Florida. We felt like we were in outer space when we landed in Craters of the Moon National Monument. It’s one of the most exotic things I’ve ever seen on vacation, and a definite must see.
A Review of Chimayo Mexican Grill in Dillon Colorado
When Lauren and I travel we make it a point to always look for places that are off the beaten path. This holds especially true when we are looking for somewhere to eat. We normally look for a locally owned non-chain restaurant to ensure we are giving back to the community. While visiting Keystone, we found Chimayo Mexican Grill, and felt like it was good enough to review and share with the world.
Restaurant Review: Texas Pride BBQ Best in San Antonio, TX
If you ever find yourself in San Antonio and are looking for real mesquite smoked barbecue, there is one place that should be on the top of your list: Texas Pride BBQ. It’s arguably the best barbecue restaurant in San Antonio, TX. Don’t just take my word for it, they’ve won a bunch of awards and have even been featured on Guy Fieri’s Tripple-D! We checked it out while on our last road trip through Texas, and just had to to tell ya’ll about it!
