Today was the first day of our road trip that we let ourselves sleep in. Between all the hard-driving and the champagne last night, we needed it. We didn’t plan to do much in St. Louis, considering we stopped here only to see some good friends that just relocated here. We had already seen the Arch on the way in, so we decided to skip that and wander to the downtown St. Charles area and were pleasantly surprised with all the nice things to do.

Road Trip Diary Day 3 Playing in the Smoky Mountians
Day 3 of our road trip started in Knoxville, TN with a plan to drive into the Smoky Mountains to hike around and play a little. This in itself was a big deal to us because we have tried to visit twice before and were stopped by inclement winter weather. We left the hotel very early (and sadly had to leave the doggies) to beat traffic and get there with enough daylight hours to stay in the park. Our playlist today started with the twang of Rilo Kiley’s Smoke Detector :) Continue reading
Pet Friendly Hotel Kimpton Palomar Review – Washington D.C.
When Kenin and I traveled to Washington D.C., we thought it would be a bit of a task to find an upscale pet friendly hotel, but this was not the case. Our dogs were living in the lap of luxury, no bones about it :) Take a look at this Kimpton Palomar Review to see why the choice was so easy.
Coop’s Place New Orleans – Review
While walking the streets of New Orleans you’re bound to work up quite the appetite. While visiting any city we always ask the locals where to eat, and while shopping in the French Quarter we were sent to Coop’s Place New Orleans. Coop’s is restaurant and pub (with just a touch of “dive bar” flavor), but also has a few video poker machines, so it is 21 and over only. For us, it was a nice place to have lunch in a kid free zone even though the ubiquitous frat boys(and sorority sisters) were present. Continue reading below to see why Coop’s made our list of where to eat in NOLA.
CC’s Community Coffee House Review – New Orleans, LA
When visiting New Orleans the first place to come to mind is usually the “Original” coffee house, we found a relatively new local chain that really serves up a great brew. Next time you’re in NOLA check out CC’s Community Coffee House. We enjoyed it so much we decided to write a review about it!
