Despite the fact that I was born and raised in Miami, Fl, which is one of the nations largest cities, I seem to have a fascination with agriculture. More specifically, I have an obsession with antique agricultural equipment and farming implements. Maybe it’s the fact that the closest I ever came to a farm growing up was the produce department at the nearby grocery store and that makes farming udder-ly (see what I did there? ) exotic to me. Whatever the reason, I can’t get enough of old agricultural equipment, so a trip to the Ward O’Hara Agricultural Museum was just what I needed to get my farming fix.

Experiencing the Bridge Day Festival at the New River Gorge in West Virginia
The New River Gorge in West Virginia is home to the world’s largest single arch bridge that at its highest point stands 876 feet over the water of the New River. The bridge is an engineering marvel as well as a beautiful piece of architecture. Carved by the rushing river below it, the New River Gorge itself is a marvel of nature and an absolutely beautiful sight. The Bridge Day Festival at the New River Gorge was conceived as a way to celebrate the marriage of nature and modern engineering by doing something incredibly insane: JUMPING OFF THE BRIDGE!
The Weird and Wonderful Abita Mystery House

For aviation enthusiasts the words Harris Hill and soaring have long been synonymous. That’s because the small city of Elmira, NY is home to the one of the country’s largest manufacturers of gliders. On top of that, Harris Hill has also been the site of countless national and international soaring competitions. Being lovers of all things aviation, we decided to see what soaring was all about with a visit to the National Soaring Museum and Harris Hill Soaring in Elmira, NY.
