Warning! Food Porn Alert! This week’s #FriFotos is #Tasty! I am going to let the pictures speak for themselves, but be warned. This post will only lead to immediate hunger and possible drooling. Carry on! :)
I met this pig at a fair. I took him home and he refused to understand why I wouldn’t call him by his name. You know what they say about naming your food.
He came to a very #tasty end. I was sad to say goodbye when he was completely devoured with korean dipping sauces.
After an entire day of drinking in Vegas any kind of food will look tasty, even hot dogs.
This was the largest peach I have ever seen. He came from Georgia and didn’t make it over the state line.
We learned in our travels of a place called Castroville, CA. It is the artichoke capital of the world. This deep fried bit of heaven was the best artichoke of my life.
Cafe du Monde is a New Orleans staple. You can’t pass through the city without stopping for some chicory coffee and beignets.
This little beast is a Lauren Bassart creation of pure evil. It is a mac &cheese mini pie. It is mac & cheese nestled in a ritz cracker crust with bacon flakes all through (real bacon) and topped with bacon.
Chocolate chip cookie…nuff said!
Fresh made tandoori nan at a street vendor in India, topped with homemade butter.
Some date nights require skipping dinner and going straight to dessert. This occurs when dessert is the size of a small country.
This cute guy was oozing raspberry jelly when I bit his head off . The voodoo donut that almost put me into a delightful, sugary coma.
This is a sahina. You can find this and more roadside treats from Trinidad in Kenin’s post on Trini Street Foods.
Okay so most folks will think we are crazy when they see this (Ken certainly did). This is a Trini pizza. It is almost like a regular pizza except in Trinidad we cover it in ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce. Don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it!
We found this lil guy at a Renaissance Fair. This is a Scotch Egg. For those of you that aren’t familiar, it is a hardboiled egg wrapped in ground sausage coated in breadcrumbs, then deep fried. If they were calorie-free, I could eat about a dozen.
Some friends took us out for BBQ in St Louis. I give my seal of approval to any BBQ place that serves their meat on brown paper…authentic!
These pierogies were filled with cheese and bacon and served with some of the best sour cream I have ever tasted.
Last but certainly not least, something tasty to wash this post down with :D A nice chilled glass of bubbly!

Kinda have to wipe the drool from my bib now…thank you for this food porn *stomach grumbles* Okay…okay…now I have to go stuff my face!
It was so hard to read this after Lauren wrote it and not go have a snack!
Yup, my mouth is in salivation mode right now, haha. It all looks so damned tasty, those ritz cracker/mac-n-cheese/bacon bite things you make sound too damn good!
Those were a recipe we found and then perfected with some practice. I have to tell you I didn’t mind taste testing all the variations :-)
Yummmm! I love Scotch eggs. And bubbly. Always bubbly!
