If you’re like me, when you travel to other cities you want to experience the city like the locals do. Sure, there are always those places you need to see where all the tourists go, but when it comes to dining and drinking, it’s just more fun to hang out with the locals. Besides, how can you get a taste, or real feel of a city without visiting the establishments where you’ll get to hobnob with the real people who live there?
As a full-time traveler there is always a delicate balance between just how much luggage you want to carry and how much you actually can carry. While this is a relatively easy problem to solve when you focus all of your travels in the tropical belt, it can prove rather difficult to pack everything you need to stay warm when spending a winter in the Great White North. Fortunately, there’s a Carhartt jacket that seems to solve the problem of both traveling light and keeping warm. After 2 months of living in Canada we’ve been able to thoroughly test and review their latest jackets featuring their Quick Duck technology.
The Maryland Science Center was a stark reminder to me that learning doesn’t have to be boring. Sitting on Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, with worlds of wonder waiting to be discovered inside, this huge brick building houses many exhibits that stir the senses and educate you, all while still letting you have fun.
Wanderlust…it’s been in my blood since birth. I love traveling and seeing new places, learning about new cultures, eating great food and making new friends. When Kenin and I left the retail workforce and sold our house to travel full-time in July 2012, I never had a second thought that I was doing the right thing. I wanted to see the world and make the most of my short existence on this planet.
