Adults Only Night at The Telus Spark Science Center Calgary
Do you know what really gets me hot? Science Son! Seriously…I can’t think of a more perfect evening than a beaker in one hand, a beer in the other, and my sweetie at my side. The Telus Spark Science Centre in Calgary, AB offers an Adults Only Night on the second Thursday of every month that is the perfect setup for the perfect date night. The evening starts off at 6 PM and runs until 10 PM. The Science Centre opens up for this adults only night with a full bar and a DJ spinning cool tunes all night. Each event features a different theme each month so there is always something new to entice your senses.

To Tour or Not To Tour, That is the Question…. It seems like every time we visit a city Lauren and I have the same question come up. Being pretty seasoned travelers and explorers we normally pop into a city, find a few key attractions to visit, and then handle the rest of our day by simply talking to locals and making plans on the fly. This usually works out pretty well for us, and it’s our preferred way to explore. Every once in a while though, we put on or best “tourists’ hats” and give a tour a shot. While in Maryland we decided to give Urban Adventures Annapolis a try, and discovered exactly what they mean when they say “locals know best”

I had no intention of recapping our 2013 on our blog, then the team at #Frifotos choose #BestOf2013 as this week’s category, and we are guest hosting so here goes! Kenin and I had the most roller coaster year of our lives in 2013. It was amazing and emotional. We took over 50,000 photos this year and I’m not sure exactly how I can choose from them, but here is a brief recap of our tumultuous year.
Calgary Zoo – From Flood to Flourish!
Like a mighty phoenix rising up from the ashes, the Calgary Zoo soars to new heights to save it’s tails. Okay, this may seem a bit dramatic, but after witnessing the total devastation that the flood of 2013 had on the Calgary Zoo this June, you have to have a serious respect for the people that shed there blood, sweat and tears rebuilding the zoo.
