Scarecrow festival is a fall festival that occurs in the city of St Charles, Illinois. St Charles is about an hour outside of Chicago, where the humans wanted to go for a night on the town. The highlight of the festival is scarecrow making and judging, but I like the mini-dog races. My people took lots of photos of our Dog Day!
This festival is held one weekend a year and I was fortunate enough to be in town at the time.
I much prefer small cities where us dogs are not just welcomed, but honored as the greater species.
The humans took my brother Punkin and I to this amazing festival where we played with other dogs, watched races (wiener dog races), partook in delicious delicacies (such as floor pizza, floor popcorn, floor biscuits) and walked around being rubbed by ever person within reach. I imagine hunting down floor foods to be very akin to wolves hunting in the wild.
There were four-legged friends everywhere at the scarecrow fiesta. Some were in fancy clothes and others were even in Halloween costumes.
Our humans put us in these ridiculous sweaters. I must say, I detest clothing! I was very warm and toasty though, but I would never let them know that.
I pranced through this party and was pet and hugged by many people. I was sniffed by quite a few dogs and did some of my own sniffing in return. There were even a few dogs snogs that were quite delightful.
Punkin and I had quite a day. We were the hit of the festival as far as I am concerned. We went back to our hotel, exhausted and full of snacks. This was a perfect dog day!
Enjoy all these photos we took of Scarecrow Festival and tell us what you think in comments!
Simply adorable!! Love your story too :)

Thanks for commenting. I’m sorry my response is so delayed. We were having an error with our comment system and we just found a bunch of older comments that were marked as spam :-(
Looks like you guys had a great time. That costume of the “hot dog” is too much. I plan on trying to get the fest later this year. I’m looking forward to it.
It was a great time for us and an even better time for our dogs. Punkin and Zoe love any opportunity where they can go out, get pet, and eat floor foods :)
