There are a lot of great dog boarding facilities and doggy daycare services out there, but personally I always feel more comfortable when I can have someone take care of Zoe in the comfort of our own or someone else’s home. The trouble with in home sitting though, is that it can be really difficult to find a trustworthy and reliable pet sitter. Now with Rover.com you can easily find a sitter for your pooch, whether you need them for a couple of hours, days, or even weeks.
Rover.com is a nationwide service that is taking pet sitting to the next level. Their extensive network of qualified dog lovers are there to take care of your pet with utmost attention and devotion while you are away.
Some of my favorite things about Rover.com are the photo updates that you receive from your sitter. They do text updates as well, though I prefer to be on vacation without my phone. If your pet happens to have an emergency, Rover.com offers 24/7 vet care up to $25,000 with only a $250 deductible. This ensures that your pet sitter will take you dog to the vet without worry of cost or availability if something were to happen.
Your reservation with Rover.com is also guaranteed. If a sitter is unable to fulfill their duties or an issue arrives, Rover.com will find you another sitter in your area. They also have 24/7 customer support for you and your sitter to ensure that you, your pet, and your pet sitter are taken care of.
Want to book your pet for a new friend/sitter on Rover.com?
Here is a coupon code for $25 off of your first booking: Rambler25 (expires 5/31/2015)
You can also use Rover.com to send a fun Rover-gram. Upload a photo of your pet, record a short message and watch your pet deliver your message. Here’s one from Zoe telling us how she feels when she’s left with a great pet-sitter.
What a cool service! We just rescued an adorable puppy, Jack, and are trying to sort out options for pettsitters when we might need them. Thanks for the info :-D
This sounds like a really amazing service, especially if you are like me and live in an area where you don’t know many people very well. I would worry, though, about letting a stranger into my home. Does Rover do good background checks on the sitters it offers?
Veronica, I hope they do. We don’t work for Rover directly so I’m not sure. I know we do housesitting a lot and the sites we use do pretty good check and also the homeowners can do checks as well. :)
Hey Lauren
Its an amazing service and really like the way you have explained the things.
I was looking for the pet sitter so that I can leave my jack russell with them and we can go out for the vacation. Whereas, its very hard to keep your pup at some other place but sometimes the vacation places are not pet friendly so due to that it is important that we should keep our dog with some pet sitter.
Great idea buddy. :-)
