On our last visit to Louisiana we did something we never ever do…we ventured out of New Orleans! If you are anything like us, the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Louisiana is Bourbon Street. Well, we decided we needed to branch out and see what the rest of the state had to offer. We decided to Ramble On through Louisiana and our first stop was a little town called Bush. Our stay here was at a wonderful pet-friendly B&B called Splendor Farms.
Splendor Farms is an adorable little B&B located about an hour outside of New Orleans. This fantastic farm was perfect for our visit to the Northshore area of Louisiana. It’s pet-friendly accommodations allowed us to bring Zoe along for some farm time fun. There are cute critters everywhere you turn here at Splendor Farms. I spent hours walking around and checking out the not-so-wild life.
The B&B stables horse as well as being home to goats, sheep, chickens, and so much more. They even have a kennel full of miniature dachshunds. I was in animal bliss. I walked around in a frenzy trying to absorb all of the cuteness. I felt the need to show equal amounts of love to all the animals here.
We were left some crackers in our room upon arrival. Make no mistake, these crackers were not for human consumption. The crackers are meant to lure these furry creatures in for petting. That’s right! Splendor Farms let’s you get up close and personal with most of their animals and features a petting zoo.
Much to my delight, one of the rabbits gave birth a few weeks before our arrival. I had the absolute joy of petting this little baby bunny. I almost burst with elation. Ain’t he cute?!?
Our stay at Splendor Farms was short but sweet. We had an amazing time and recommend them to anyone planning on visiting the area. Make sure to bring your camera. There is so much to see here on the farm.
