For many travelers Kalispell, Montana serves as a base camp for enjoying the lovely outdoors. While this is absolutely true, we spent some time visiting Kalispell in the Fall, and found a lovely small town that was rich in both culture and history.
Getting away for a weekend of romance and relaxation should be on every couples’ list. We always have a little snafu when planning a weekend getaway. Our snafu has a name, and her name is Zoe, our 70 lb Weimaraner. While visiting Traverse City, Michigan we were looking forward to a weekend of fine dining and spa treatments, but no one wants to have to wake up early to walk the pooch and make sure she is fed and happy while also trying to enjoying a weekend of romance. The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa has an ace up there sleeve and treated us to a weekend we would never forget, Zoe included. We had a complete weekend of romance done right!
Established in 1852, the Hotel Fauchere was recognized as a historic landmark in Milford, Pennsylvania in 1980. Delighted to stay in the romantic Poconos, the Hotel Fauchere was an excellent choice for a fun little getaway.
With miles of shoreline Florida is home to some pretty unique ecosystems that are home to a rather large variety of wildlife. From the swampy and reptile-rich Everglades in the South, to the bird-friendly Maritime forests in the Northeast, Florida has something here for every type of nature lover. This variety is perhaps best displayed on the state’s Gulf Coast. Here you get a brilliant blend of incredible sea life, like the Florida Manatee, along with some beautiful birds and exotic mammals that call the coastal woodlands home. The Poconos Mountains are a fabulous place to go for a romantic weekend. Do you know what also makes for a great romantic weekend? Weimaraners! Okay so maybe not, but Zoe insisted on joining us for our weekend getaway to the Poconos and as always she also insisted that she firmly plant her fuzzy butt right in the middle of everything. While on our fabulous romantic getaway to the Poconos, Kenin and I decided to take an intimate canoe trip down the gorgeous Delaware River. Luckily for Zoe, the folks at Kittatinny Canoes love dogs just as much as we do so they didn’t mind her tagging along on our romantic river ride.
