Winter seems to have the ability to completely change the face of any landscape it touches. Rolling prairies teeming with wildlife become vast frozen tundras, trees become bare, and lakes become blocks of solid ice. When you come from a place that’s primarily warm this transformation can make you feel like you’re on a completely different planet. That’s exactly what it felt like when I visited Jasper National Park in Canada and took a Maligne Canyon icewalk. The views were completely out of this world.

Taking a Historic Grand Canyon Railway Tour
Seeing the Grand Canyon was something that was on my travel bucket list for the majority of my life until I finally had the chance to see it back in 2012. Unlike a lot of other landmarks and destinations though I find the Grand Canyon is one of those sites that you can return to and always have a different experience. When we were given the chance to take a Grand Canyon Railway Tour the last time we were in Sedona, AZ , Lauren and I hopped at the chance. I mean come on how often do you get to see the Grand Canyon and ride a train in the same day??
The Constant Rambler – Behind The Scenes :) #rambleon
Everyone that knows me know that I basically travel full time now. I am always somewhere new doing something different and trying to get the most out of my life. The fact that I get to do this full time with the loves of my life (Kenin and Zoe) make this pretty Utopic for me. While traveling, we take thousands of photos for TheConstantRambler. We only use about 10 photos when we do a post. All of the inappropriate, cheeky ones get left behind. :( Here is a great behind the scenes look at a day in the life of a constant rambler. This is pretty much our “b-roll” of photos that we took along the way but were not appropriate for specific posts. :) Enjoy!

The Many Colorful People of India – Photo Essay
We spent a month in India. The country was everything we expected it to be, old traditions and older buildings. It was hotter than hell (we went in June/July). There was fantastic food and interesting wildlife. The thing that will stand out forever in our memories though, are the people we met along the way. India’s people are so colorful and vibrant. They are full of such a subtle flair that can only come from centuries of doing things a certain way. This is a small collection of the many colorful people of India we came across in our travels.
Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, FL – A Sanctuary for the Abused, Abandoned, and Saved
Every once in a while, here at TheConstantRambler, we take a tour somewhere and leave that place a changed person. The most recent example of this was the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida. We entered the Big Cat Rescue expecting to find something like a zoo; smallish pens, animals on display, and a focus on giving visitors a big bang for their buck. We left the Big Cat Rescue feeling like we had just left a monastery where we were intruding on the sanctuary created for these beautiful felines. The owners and staff have done an amazing job putting together a place where abused, abandoned, and injured big cats can recover and live out their lives in peace and relative solitude.
