Going Wild at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, a Review
Anyone who knows us or follows this site has to know that Lauren and I are huge animal lovers. No matter how big or small, fluffy or scaly, on land or in water, if we have a chance to go spend some time with critters we’re going to take advantage of it. When we found out that the Maryland Zoo was conveniently located right outside of downtown Baltimore we had to plan a trip! I’m happy to say that we weren’t disappointed. We spent the day going wild at the Maryland Zoo!
Being on Both Sides of the House Sitting Fence with House Carers
We recently sold our home and started traveling full-time. Many people ask how we can afford to do this. Most of our expenses are paid out of our own pockets so staying in hotels every night can get very costly very fast. We have found a way to mitigate those costs by house sitting. Reviewing the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, a Journey into the Surreal
Salvador Dali has long been one of my favorite artists. His profound works challenged the status quo and completely altered the face of modern art. What impresses me the most though, is his range as an artist. Even though his most famous works were masterpieces depicting a surreal world, he excelled in several other genres as well. The Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Fl houses one of the largest Salvador Dali collections in the world and is a journey through his entire career. It’s a must see attraction if you are visiting the Tampa Bay area and we highly recommend visiting.

Growing up on Cape Breton Island, I was surrounded by some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and they were an important part of my life in all seasons. Windswept winter walks, early autumn shell collecting, ice cream filled summer afternoons, and late spring bonfires are the scenes of my childhood.
It’s only natural that when Ryan and I adopted our beloved black lab mix, Chester, we expected him to be a water baby as well. Don’t all dogs love the water? And he’s (well, mostly) a lab – those webbed paws are perfect for some ocean fun! Much to our surprise, however, Chester seemed hesitant and, well, downright uncertain during his first few times to the lake.
