I am pretty excited to be taking a cruise this fall for the TBEX (Travel Bloggers Exchange) conference so I decided to put together an article on what to wear on a cruise. Cruising is one of my favorite ways to vacation and unplug from everyday life and being fashionable while at sea is a must for me.
Sunglasses are essential for a good cruise. You want to be out on the deck getting some vitamin D and taking in the sunshine but you don’t want to be blinded by the light. A pair of good sunglasses, preferably with UV protection, is a must.
You also need to have a nice hat, or many hats in my case. While taking in all the sunshine you can get, you need to be protected as well. Hats and sunscreen are very important to keep you shielded while soaking in the rays.
While I am a huge fan of napping on deck, most folks like to take to the waters of the swimming pools on cruise ships. This means you need to be certain to pack a few swimsuits as well. For the non-swimmers out there, you can always just take a dip in the hot tub in your fabulous swimwear.
One of my favorite parts of cruising is being able to get all dolled up for fancy dinners. Formal wear is fun and you can transition dresses easily with a few great accessories like scarves and shoes to go from day to night wear.
Nothing helps you gain proper sea legs like strutting around the ship in some sexy heels. Remember, pack light and make sure that your outfits can be mixed and matched for ultimate wearability. Safe and Happy Travels!
